Current proven working config: <wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="VoIP"> <parm name="SIPSettings" value="<provision key='1032ab01' name='Sihnon'> <provider name='Sihnon' /> <user account='andrew' password='---my-password---' uri='sip:andrew' allowedauth='digest'/> <sipsrv addr='santo.sihnon.net' protocol='UDP' role='proxy'> <session party='First' type='pc2pc' /> <session party='First' type='pc2ph' /> </sipsrv> <sipsrv addr='santo.sihnon.net' protocol='UDP' role='registrar'/> </provision>" /> </characteristic>

This needs to be inside a file named _setup.xml, then packaged in a cab (
cabarc N voipsettings.cab _setup.xml
).
The default Windows\ipdialplan.xml file works fine if all you want to do is call certain SIP numbers by prefixing them with “SIP:” in your contact list, e.g. “SIP: 123@santo.sihnon.net”.
